Beloved son, brother and uncle, Mark D. Nevin, 66, passed away at his home in Lead, on December 16, 2023.

Mark was born July 22, 1957 in Deadwood, South Dakota, the youngest child of Thomas and Colleen Nevin.  He graduated from Lead High School in 1977.  He served in the U.S. Navy before returning to Lead where he worked for the Homestake Mine and served as a volunteer fireman.  During that period, he was a certified EMT-Basic, and was chosen as "Fireman of the Year in 1995.

He is survived by sister Linda (Janeczek) of Oak Forest, IL, brothers Mike of Lead and Bill of Pierre, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2 to 5pm Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead.
