Zachariah William Warnock, 35, of Spearfish, SD, passed away at his home in Spearfish on February 16, 2024.

Zach was born on September 20, 1988 sharing this birthday with his grandmother, Brenda Wolfe. He was born to Mark Warnock and Maureen Howard in Sioux City, Iowa.

He is survived by his son, Lane Warnock, who also shares a birthday with Zach and Great-Grandma Brenda; and Lane's mother, Julie Wermers, and her son, Riley Wermers, all of Spearfish; his parents, Mark and Shelly Warnock of Prior Lake, MN; Maureen Howard of Hopkinton, MA; his sister and her husband, Ali and AJ Robinson of Milford, MA; his paternal grandmother, Brenda Wolfe of South Sioux City, NE; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he's made all over the country.

Zach spent his younger years in South Sioux City, NE, and Elk Point, SD. In 2002 family relocated to Spearfish where he spent the remainder of his life. Zach's love of music was known to anyone who knew him, as he always had his guitar in tow. In fact, when Lane was a toddler, Zach made sure that Lane had his own guitar. Nothing made Zach happier than watching Lane play it. Zach loved going to concerts, and every chance he had, he would attempt to get backstage to meet the band.

In his high school years, he attended Youth Group at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Spearfish. Zach and Ali both went to a youth group retreat with them to San Antonio, TX. He also attended Young Life in Rapid City where he felt so welcomed.

In October 2022, Zach made it to Boston to help his sister celebrate her wedding. It was such a beautiful day, we danced into the night, and Zach couldn't have been happier to be with his family and friends.

Zach is predeceased by Connie Howard, maternal grandmother; Bill Warnock, paternal grandfather; and Bob Howard, maternal grandfather.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. The family will receive guests beginning at 11:00 am.
