In Loving Memory of Yvonne Louise Delahoyde Derosier
Yvonne Louise (Delahoyde) Derosier passed away on September 5, 2026. She was born in Merna, Nebraska on July 22, 1934, the oldest of twelve children born to Val and Gertrude Delahoyde.
On March 8, 1952, Yvonne married the love of her life, George “Don” Derosier. They shared more than 70 years of marriage — a lifetime of devotion, partnership, and joy.
She is survived by their four children, Deborah (Bob Irwin), David (Kim), Dean (Jaclynn) and Darin (Linda). Yvonne was blessed with six grandchildren, Boe, Lacy, Kelly, Kyle, Kody, and Taylor — and nine great‑grandchildren: Rory, Rosalee, Oakley, Renlee, Daisy, Zoey, Zayden, Rudi and Jaxon. She is also survived by seven of her siblings, Jimmy, Valetta Harris, Alta Morgan, Donnie, Lynnette Braun, Danny, and Bruce.
Yvonne was an extraordinary seamstress, she loved cross‑stitch, gardening, cooking, and especially dancing with Don — a joy they shared throughout their long marriage.
She was an active member of many organizations, including P.E.O., Jaycettes, Bag Ladies of Deadwood, St. John’s Episcopal Church Guild, she participated in Days of ’76 activities and more.
Yvonne was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother. Her love shaped generations. Her warmth, humor, and strength will be carried forward by everyone who knew her.
A heartfelt thank you to Garden Hills in Spearfish, for the exceptional care you’ve given Yvonne for more than six years. Your kindness and dedication have been amazing!
We love you, Mom. We hope you are dancing with Dad.
A church service will be scheduled at a later date.
