Wini S. Geis, 86, Belle Fourche, SD passed away on January 19, 2015 at Rapid City Regional Hospice House.

She was born on March 5, 1928 in Osaka Japan. She married Sherry Geis and lived in various states while he was in the military, they later divorced. Wini and her son Robert returned to Belle Fourche and lived with Clarence and Maxine Geis while looking for housing and employment.


Wini worked at several different positions in health care in Belle Fourche and as a clerk with IMC. She enjoyed many years of bowling, playing bridge, also sewing and knitting. She was well known for her" "fried rice and sweet and sour pork."

While in retirement she enjoyed traveling to Japan in the spring for cherry blossoms and visiting family.

She is survived by one son Robert and Joan Geis, Rapid City. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother in Japan. Clarence and Maxine Geis, Bill and Annabelle Geis, Belle Fourche, Kenneth Geis, Fallon NV.

Memorial services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, January 22 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.
