William "Bill" Robert Eberspecher, 75, passed away at his home in Newcastle surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, April 25, 2009, following a battle with cancer.
Bill was born on October 4, 1933, in Douglas, Wyoming, to Thomas George and Helen Nettie (Robinson) Eberspecher. He was one of 7 children. He lived most of his early childhood in and around Douglas and Glenrock, Wyoming. In 1943, the family moved to St Maries, Idaho, where Bill attended junior high and high school.
He enlisted in the Marines and served during the Korean War. After his service, he returned to Wyoming. On December 1, 1956, Bill married N. Inez Gallego in Custer, South Dakota. The couple had three girls and lived most of their life in Newcastle, Wyoming. Bill was self-employed with his drilling company and worked until retirement drilling for uranium, oil, and water. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, auctions, pawn shops, and gun shows. Bill accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour on July 14, 1998.
He is survived by his wife Inez; three daughters - Mickey, Billie, & Jamie; two sons-in-law - Dean & Jerome; eleven grandchildren - Amanda, Adam, Jessica, T.C., Cody, Tom, Josiah, Jaalah, Jared, Jonathan, and Julia; four great-grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 915 S. Summit, Newcastle, Wyoming.
