Obituary
Wayne Pourier, 67 of Spearfish, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at his home.
Wayne was born on May 12, 1949 in Hot Springs, SD to Calvin and Beulah (Cuny) Pourier. Wayne graduated from Oelrich High School in 1968 and was drafted into the Army serving in Vietnam. After the service he attended Black Hills State University until going to work for Binger Painting in Rapid City. He married Rita (O'Connor) in 1975. In 1976, he started his own business in Rapid City, Quality Painting and Drywall, working until 1990. The couple moved to Spearfish and worked for Barber Construction until 1996 when he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Pourier of Spearfish; son, Shawn (Michelle) Pourier of CA and step-son, Brian (Kathy) O'Connor of Rapid City; sisters, Frances Matsamas and Al Marie White; brothers, Kenneth (Ruth) Pourier, Larry (Teri) Pourier, Donald Pourier and Douglas Pourier and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, February, 10, 2017 at Black Hills National Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Crematory Service of Spearfish.
