IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wade
Keats
June 20, 1974 – October 22, 2021
Wade Travis Keats, 47 of Belle Fourche, SD passed away Friday, October 22nd, 2021 at Billings Clinic Hospital at 6 am.
Travis was born June 20th, 1974 to Carolyn (Virginia) Williams and Richard Lynn Keats in Belle Fourche. He grew up traveling the country with his mother but finished high school in Gillette, WY, graduating in 1993. He stayed and lived in Gillette for 20 years, growing a large, close-knit family before moving to Belle Fourche. While full of life, Travis loved spending the last 17 summers with the love of his life, Josie Yoctorowic hiking in the canyon, fishing, camping with his mother-in-law Nila K. Yoctorowic, with winters spent collecting dragons or working on crafting projects. When he wasn't teaching himself a new skill or enjoying a challenging video game, he was with his family. His children and grandchildren were the light of Travis' life, as was his mother, Virginia. Making sure his family was taken care of was always his top priority in life, he was an extremely personable man and a devoted son, father, and friend. Travis was a great lover of animals and had the charisma to charm a snake. He was as surrounded by family as he was pets of every kind.
He is survived by his mother Virginia Williams; his wife Josephine (Josie) Yoctorowic in Belle Fourche; his brother Tony Keats in Gillette; his children Christina Keats, Zelynda and Sheldon Hullinger, Clarence Hackney, Brayden Anderson, Akeilah Anderson, Matthew Hubbard, Elissa Hubbard, and Hope (Victoria) Hubbard; four grandchildren, Jackson, Ke'oni, Eyonna, and ZaiLynn; along with many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a loyal collection of close friends such as John and Leann Ledger, Josh Ogle and Salina (Sam) Clyde.
Travis was preceded to death by one daughter Samantha Marie Keats; his father Richard Keats of Gillette, WY, and two sets of grandparents.
Private family service will take place at a later time.
