Wade Walter Dungey, 55, of Aladdin, WY, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, August 10th, 2026. Wade was born July 18, 1971, to Gary Dungey and Virginia Massie in Belle Fourche SD. In his younger years, he attended school in Spearfish, SD, Rapid City, SD, and then on to Rhinelander, WI. After deciding that wasn’t for him, he returned home his freshman year to finish out at Belle Fourche High School. Close to home, and his grandparents, Kay and Irma Dungey, was where he wanted to be.

During High School, he stayed busy working at home on the ranch, the Wool Warehouse, and excelling in his wrestling career. When he wasn’t doing those things, he was causing havoc with his buddies, who turned to lifelong best friends. After graduating high school with the class of 1990, Wade went on to work many jobs, ultimately ending at American Colloid Company Where he would work for many years. In March 1996, from the union of Wade and Tabi Dungey, Tori Dungey was born. It was then that Wade began one of his most important chapters – being a dad. While maintaining his job at ACC, he began to build his cattle herd at home. In March 2002, from the union of Wade and Gwen Tallmadge, he welcomed his second daughter, Laney Dungey into the world. Eventually, Wade was able to transition to his dream of ranching full-time.

He spent his years being a skilled cattleman, mechanic, plumber, electrician – truly anything that was put in front of him. He enjoyed anything that had to do with friends, family, and a good time! His place of peace was the Bearlodge mountains, where he could hunt, fish, take a horse or ATV and disappear for hours.

Wade is survived by his daughters, Tori Dungey and Laney Dungey; his aunt and uncle, Sharron (Richard) Kirksey; his niece, Jordin Dungey; stepchildren, Curt Niehaus and Kayla Trudo; and many beloved cousins. He was proceeded in death by his brother, Cory Dungey; mother, Ginger Massie; and father, Gary Dungey.

Celebration of life will be held from 3:00 - 9:00PM Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Moose Lodge in Belle Fourche.
