Vincent David Kaiser, 70, of Belle Fourche, SD passed away February 2, 2008, at Spearfish Regional Hospital in Spearfish, SD.
Vince was born October 28, 1937 in Belle Fourche, SD to David and Lucille Kaiser. He attended rural grade school at the Stoughton School House in Orman-Arpan, SD. He attended high school in Nisland and then graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1955.
After graduation, he entered the U.S. Army and during his service years spent several years stationed in Germany.
On December 28, 1960 he married Dorothy O'Haver of Alva, WY. Vince and Dorothy "Dot" were blessed with a daughter and son. LaDola (Roger) Rhoads and David Kaiser. Vince and Dot spent all of their married years in the Belle Fourche community. Vince began his career in car parts and sales in 1962 at Tri State Motors. Vince and Jim Beck owned and operated Beck's Chevrolet and Pontiac in Deadwood, SD. When gambling came to Deadwood, Vince and Jim closed the business. Vince then sold cars for Spearfish Motors and then moved to Queen City Motors. In 2003, Vince called it a career and semi-retired from Queen City Motors. However, Vince had built up a clientele of faithful customers over the years who felt no one could sell them a car except Vince. He not only sold them a car, but he made sure that car stayed in good working order until they were ready for a new one.
After Vince's semi-retirement he enjoyed working around their place in Alva, WY, tinkering with his tractors, and working with his antique cars and parts. Dot and Vince enjoyed traveling and Vince loved his fishing trips with family and friends. For the last 3 years, he and his son have enjoyed working side by side in Alva.
