Vicki Balander, 63 of Rapid City, SD and formerly of Lead, SD passed on April 11, 2017 and is now in our Lord's hands.

Vicki was born January 14, 1954 to Victor and Dorothy (Johnson) Balander in Oakland, California, where her Dad was stationed in the US Navy, she always considered herself a Cali girl. When the family moved back to SD, she embraced Northern University in Aberdeen, SD to enhance her artistic skills. Vicki worked at Thorpe's for many years, look at your rings; she probably had a part in that!

Vicki had such a big heart, always willing to give to others and her smile, what a grin.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew Balander and her parents Victor & Dorothy Balander.

Memorial services will be at 10am, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel, inurnment will follow at Mountain Lawn Cemetery near Lead.
