Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jean Flasted was born an only child on April 24, 1935 in Brookings, SD, but her early youth was spent in the warmth of Pasadena, CA, where she enjoyed the bounty of sunshine, the freshest produce, figure skating and keeping tabs on the Hollywood Stars. Due to her father's profession, Jeannie traveled the Western States extensively and graduated from high school in Lusk, Wyoming in 1954. Thereafter she moved to Billings, MT, where she attended Billings Business College and was employed by KOOK Television to write business commercials. It was also during that time that she met and married her soul mate, Everette Flasted on September 28, 1957.

From bussing kids to and from school, making certain they had their 4-H demonstrations well rehearsed and their animals ready for fair, packing countless lunches, feeding orphaned lambs, cooking for the family and hired help, working sheep, cutting hay, keeping records for the ranch, Jean was the CEO of every facet of our lives. Her compassion for the weak and forsaken was evident throughout her life as Jean loved all animals and she openly took in any strays that was brought to her.

Jean was not a woman who stood idly by. When times got tough she got going, and to assist financially she worked outside the home for a short time at the Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care and at Federal Bentonite in Colony, WY. Jean's legacy can only be summarized as a woman of perseverance, determination, faithfullness to whatever endeavor she undertook and a champion to the underdog. Her steady resolve will be missed by all, but will live on in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Everette Flasted, four children; daughter, Karin Anderson (grandsons, Steel and Stryker Anderson), daughter, Pamela Flasted (granddaughter, Chelsey Groseclose and grandson, Brandon Groseclose), son, Evin Flasted and wife Kristi (grandson, Caleb Flasted, granddaughters, Hannah, Rachel and Micah Flasted) and daughter Lisa Flasted (granddaughter, Bailey McCoy).

She was preceded in death by her parents Iva and Dr. Robert Holberg and numerous aunts and uncles.
