IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy "Tim"
Shama
September 14, 1951 – October 4, 2019
Tim Shama , 68 of Deadwood was called home to our Lord on October 4, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.
Tim was born on September 14, 1951 to Philip and Winifred Shama in Deadwood SD. He graduated from Deadwood High School in 1969, having just enjoyed his 50-year class reunion. Tim worked for Homestake Mining Company until its closing, took a summer off to spend with his grandchildren "because he could." He then worked for Warf Mining until he retired five years ago to take care of his Mom.
He had a great love for all of his grand and great-grandchildren adoring them just as much as they adored him, they were his world. He was the most amazing Grandfather anyone could have imagined! Tim had a lifelong passion for playing pool, he was always shooting pool! He won many awards and was inducted into the South Dakota Pool Hall of Fame in 2005; his proudest accomplishment.
Tim is survived by his mother, Winifred Shama; children, Timothy Jr., Brandi Vega (Larry), Jennifer Swenson (Kent), Melisa Feyereisen (Adrian), Jennifer Pitts (Zach) and Isaac Cracco; 12 grandchildren, Denica (Bryan), Drake, Alyssa (Jay), Madison, Micheal, Loghan, Landyn, Kaidon, Abigayle, Riley, AJ and Eloise; four great-grandchildren, Jason, Asher, Stella Rosa, and Olivia; brothers, Phil, Bob (Kathy), Michael (Jeannie) and Eddie (Jennifer); sisters, Sandra (Steve) Johnson and Susan Caldwell. 15 nieces and nephews, 19 great-nieces and nephews; former wife, Kimberli Shama, and very special friend, Theresa Coleman. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Philip Shama and baby brother, Thomas.
