Obituary

Terrance "Terry" David Moe, 62, of St. Onge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6th, 2010 in Spearfish, SD.

Prayer services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday, November 8, 2010 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spearfish. Burial will take place at the St. Onge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to benefit, Mayo Clinic Amyloid Research, St. Onge Community Hall or a charity of ones choice.

Terry was born in Hettinger, ND on February 24th, 1948 to Warren "Bud" and Fern Moe. The family moved to St. Onge, SD when Terry was a child. He attended Spearfish High School and went to college at South Dakota State University, where he played football for the Jackrabbits. He graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanized Agriculture in 1970. In 1969, he married Patricia "Patty" McGuigan from Spearfish, SD. The couple returned to St. Onge to fulfil his dream of working on the family farm and becoming a steward of the land that he grew up on. Terry spent many years dedicating himself to Moe Dairy and was considered by all to be successful and influential in the local ranching community. He served for many years as a board member of the Black Hills Milk Producers, the Midwest Dairy Association and the Dairy Farmers of America. He spent many years as a member of the St. Onge Volunteer Fire Department. His happiest times were spent enjoying the company of his many friends and family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Patty, his parents Warren and Fern and sister Nancy (Chuck). He is also survived by his children Chad (Holly) of Burnsville,MN, Kelly (Rynette) of St. Onge, and Robin (Jeremy) of Rawlins, WY. He was loved dearly by his 6 and 1/3 grandchildren (Jake, 12, Ben, 12, Andrew, 9, Will, 5, Tyrel, 3 and Chase, 1 and honorary grandchildren Tulsa, 11 and Ella, 6). Terry was preceded in death by his brother Gordy in 1969.
