Obituary

Tell Douglas Cook, 49, of Pine Haven, WY passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025.

Tell was born in Trinidad, CO, on May 22, 1976 to John and Karen (Brickman) Cook. Tell was raised in Belle Fourche where he spent his youth and teenage years helping his Grandpa PJ Cook and his dad on the family sheep ranch. Tell graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1994 and went onto Northern Nevada Community College in Elko and obtained a degree in Applied Science with an emphasis in electrical and welding. Tell went onto receive additional certificates and training in welding and pipe fitting.

Tell spent the majority of his career as a business owner of ComPump, where the work took him around the United Sates welding and pipe fitting. Tell had a strong work ethic and was never afraid of a hard day's work.

Tell's interests were varied and many such as, motorcycles (especially his Harley Sweetness), guns, music, NASCAR, football, snowboarding, reading, sitting on the beach (he had his own special bench). Tell had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make people laugh.

Tell and his fiancée Angela Moke were blessed with two boys Cole (2000) and Caleb (2001). Tell then married Lacey (Stumpf) the love of his life on July 19, 2007 at Niagara Falls, NY and were then blessed with daughter Crimson (2010). Tell and Lacey raised their children in Pine Haven, WY and recently moved to Tarpon Springs, FL to fulfill a lifelong dream of living on the beach.

Tell will be greatly missed by his wife, Lacey, of 18 years, son Cole Cook (Rory) of Gillette, WY; son Caleb Cook of Gillette, WY; daughter Crimson Cook of Pine Haven, WY; and his mother Karen Cook of Sundance, WY. Siblings Cristen Coombs (Jefferson) of Lander, WY; Anna Cook (Tim Rieffanaugh) of Sundance, WY; Jane Mitchell (Oliver) of Lovell, WY; and Ashley Wood (Craig) of Sundance, WY; numerous nieces and nephews and friends who he treated like family and considered brothers. He will be missed by many.

Tell is preceded in death by his father John Cook, his grandparents PJ and Darlyne Cook, John and Dorothy Brickman, his uncle's Carl and Douglas Cook, Richard Brickman and Roger Studt, and his cousin PJ Cook.

We are celebrating Tell's life on August 23rd, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Pine Haven Community Center, 3 Meadows Lane, formerly Industrial Park, (take a left at Town Hall onto Waters Dr) Pine Haven, WY.
