Obituary

Stanley Lindholm, 62, of Glendale, Arizona, formerly of Buffalo SD, passed away at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ.

Stanley Paul Lindholm was born to Leroy and Lois Lindholm on June 29, 1954 in Belle Fourche, SD. The angels carried him home to be with the Lord and his beloved "daddy's girl" on November 3, 2016.

Stan was raised in Buffalo, SD and attended Buffalo High School where he excelled in athletics in high school. He was an outstanding football player and was recognized for his kicking records as well as running back records he set for BHS (HCHS). He was selected all-state in football in 1971 and 1972.

Stan married his high school sweetheart, Geri Patterson, on May 25, 1973. The Lord blessed them with three children in their marriage; Mathew, Stanna, and Adam. Stan was also blessed to raise his grandson, Daxon as his own son and niece, Kelly during her high school years.

Stan started his career working for the State of South Dakota Transportation Department in 1973. He worked for the State until 1978 when he went to work for Koch Exploration. In 1994, Stan transferred with Koch and moved his family to Grand Junction, Co. He was field superintendent for Koch's Piceance Basin Field. Black Hills Corporation bought the field in 2001 and Stan stayed on with their company until retirement in 2015.

Stan had many interests in life including golfing, bowling, softball, boating at Lake Powell, driving his Shelby GT Mustang, relaxing in his pool, attending and watching sporting events, and being around friends and family. He was there at almost every event that his kids and grandkids participated in to support and cheer them on. He had many friends and was loved and respected by all.

The joy in Stan's life was loving and being around his family, including his wife, three kids, five grandkids, Coy, Daxon, Lexis, Evan, and Libertee and great-granddaughter Myla.

Stan is survived by his mother Lois; his wife Geri; his children Mathew (Wendy) and Adam; his siblings Dave (Doris), Betty (Jery) Flanagan, Mary Lou (Robert) Johnson, Michael (Dawna), and Tony.
Stan was preceded in death by his infant sister Peggy, dad Leroy, and daughter Stanna Lee.
