Sonya Duvall, 49 of Sundance passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022.

Sonya was born in Newcastle, WY on September 8th 1973 to Mick and Gail Dowdy. She attended school in Upton, WY and graduated in 1993. Sonya married Chris Duvall on January 29th 1995 and raised four boys Trey, Jason, Chance (a handicapable young man), and Zach, along with a number of bonus sons and daughters. All fine young people.

This young lady was feisty and tough as nails, 4'11" and ½  tall - tiny and mighty! Sonya enjoyed anything that her boys were involved in. Those interests changed over the years as the family grew. She enjoyed the Jeep and the mountains, rock hunting and making her yard beautiful. She loved the beautiful sunsets and the view from her favorite place - home. In the past year, one of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her granddaughter, Halsey. Sonya was loved by all who came in contact with her.

Sonya is survived by her husband of 27 years, Chris Duvall of Sundance; her son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Trey Duvall, Makenzy Maston and granddaughter Halsey of Upton; sons Jason Duvall of Nashville, Chance Duvall and Zach Duvall of Sundance; mother Gail Dowdy (Chris Monger) of Dickinson, and father Mick Dowdy (Heidi Malheim) of Upton; grandmother Jane Dowdy of Upton; sister, Crystal (Rob) Davis of Rozet; brothers JC Dowdy of Gillette, and Luke Dowdy (Genetha Tolar) of Upton; mother-in-law, Judy Cayton, father-in-law, Danny Duvall, brother and sister-in-law Wes and Stacy Duvall, all of Gillette; step-siblings Kari Monger, Erik Klein and Brianna Hughes; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of life will take place on Friday, November 11th, 2:00pm at Central Office Gymnasium in Sundance, WY. Followed by refreshments. A memorial has been established at Sundance State Bank. - FHL!!!!!
