Slade Walter Blakeman

Slade Walter Blakeman, 9, died in an accident on February 20, 2026 at his home in Sundance, Wyoming.

He was born on December 29, 2016 in Ashland, WI to Lane and Alicyn Blakeman. He was brother to Gavin, Dallas, and Declan. Slade was a sweet and kind-hearted boy who loved his family more than anything. He found joy in riding his bike, playing outside, and laughing with his brothers. His gentle nature, big smile, and loving heart will always be remembered.

Slade is survived by his parents, Lane and Alicyn; brothers, Gavin, Dallas, and Declan. His is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Walter (Debbie), Stacey (Todd); his paternal grandmother, Leah; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jerome, and uncle Rodney.

The funeral service will be held at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Moorcroft, WY on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11:00am, with a viewing one hour prior to service.

Though his time with us was far too short, Slade’s love and teachings will remain in our hearts forever. He is tucked up safe, away from harm, in our heavenly home.
