Shirley Seemer, 88 of Renton, WA and formerly of Belle  Fourche, SD died on April 13, 2021 at her home.

Shirley Ryan-Seemer was born on February 11, 1933 to William Ambrose and Louise (Leitner) Ryan in Belle Fourche, SD.  She was raised on the Ryan Ranch north of Aladdin, WY.  She went to a one-room country school through 8 ^th grade.  Shirley went to St Martin's Academy her freshman year and then transferred to Belle Fourche High School graduating in 1951.

She started working at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company at the age of 16.  She eventually moved to Aberdeen, SD where she continued with the telephone company.

She met her husband Richard on an airplane and eventually moved to Seattle, WA where she continued working for the telephone company for about 20 years.  She then went to nursing school and graduated in 1975 with her LPN degree, working another 18 years.

We offer special thanks to her care givers for the last three years, Patricia and Marc Tonkins-you are angels sent from God!!

She is survived by her daughter Tammy Miller, Auburn, WA, granddaughter Elizabeth Miller, Auburn WA, sisters Janet Marx, Alexandria VA, Carol Wattier, Mobile AL and Judy Kaiser, Kenosha, WI and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1988, parents, brother Jerry Ryan and grandson, Derek Miller.

Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at St Paul Catholic Church in Belle Fourche.  Inurnment will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery.
