Obituary
Shirley Plath, 94 of Spearfish died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Belle Fourche Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Following the funeral services she requested her body to be donated to the University of South Dakota for anatomical study. A memorial has been established to the Northern Hills Humane Society.
Shirley was born September 20, 1918 to Leslie and Lena (Goette)McKay in Prosper, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Bert Plath on November 25, 1937 at the Little Brown Church in Nassua, Iowa.
Survivors include her nephew, Ken McKay of Colorado Springs, CO and special friends, Tom and Sara May of Spearfish.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, sister, Sibyl H. Richter and brother, Kenneth S. McKay.
