Shirley McGilvrey 93 went to rest with the Lord on Thursday January 23rd, 2025.

Shirley was born on September 20th, 1931, in Onida SD. To Gustav and Anna Westphal. She married Jim McGilvrey on June 8th, 1952, in Gettysburg SD.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her daughters Jodeen and Sharlett and son Stacy. Shirley had six sisters and two brothers, and her sister Violet is the only remaining sibling.

Shirley is survived by her son Steve (Susan) McGilvrey, son Jim (Nancy) McGilvrey, Daughter in Law Lisa McGilvrey, and daughter Shirleen Thomas.

Grandchildren Jill Jefferson, Stephanie McGilvrey, Anthony McGilvrey, Joseph (Angie) McGilvrey, James (Denise) McGilvrey, Kyle (Kevin) Outinen, John (Stefanie) Agens, Brianna Schmidt, Jennifer (Brian) Jensen, and Charles Thomas.  Great Grandchildren Jena McGilvrey, Bailey Braze, J T McGilvrey, Ella McGilvrey, Cole McGilvrey, Kaiden Agens, Kalina (James) Bond, Lilianna Schmidt, Michelle Schmidt, Angelina Schmidt, Perona Jensen, and Lunaria Jensen. Great great grandchild Colton Bond.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday June 28th, 2025, at the United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m.
