Sherrelyn Louise Thields, born on January 25, 1947, to Fred and Anna Thields in Englewood, Colorado, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Sherrelyn married Larry Johnson in 1965, and together they had four children: Larrelyn, Todd, Jeremiah, and Kyle. In 1984, she found love again and married Mich Yoshimura, sharing cherished years together.

Her career was spent as a dedicated engineer at Storage Technologies, where her expertise and commitment left a lasting impact until her retirement.

Sherrelyn was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Larrelyn and one grandchild. She is survived by her children Todd (Jo) Johnson of Spearfish, SD; Jeremiah (Diana) Johnson of Winchester, CA; and Kyle (Jenna) Johnson of Cleveland, SC. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren who will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts.

In August 2024, Sherrelyn began a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Despite the immense pain, she held steadfast to the roles she cherished most—being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Her final days were marked by quiet moments of love and care shared with her family. These moments, though bittersweet, remain a source of comfort and strength for those she leaves behind.

One evening, as her family lovingly attended to her, Sherrelyn spoke words that now echo as a lasting testament to her love: "It makes me so happy how treasured you all make me feel and how loved I am. You all love me so much, and I love you all so much too."

A celebration of Sherrelyn's life will take place this summer with family and friends.
