Sheila Kay Verke, 77 of Spearfish, South Dakota, passed away from brain cancer on Sunday, October 22, at Spearfish Canyon Healthcare in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Sheila was born December 5, 1946, to Norman and Mary Nelson in Hatton, North Dakota. She attended schools in Hatton and graduated from High school. She attended college in Dickinson, North Dakota and served as a substitute teacher for several years in Arizona.

She is survived by a sister Vickie, two sons, Wade (Shona) Verke, Park City, Montana, and their two daughters, Mackinzie (Logan) Flugget and Blakcly (Joel) Nelson, and Nolan Verke, Baker, Montana, and his three children, Danial Varner, Ethan and Erika and long-time friends, Alice (Jim) Anderson, Rapid City, South Dakota, and Linda (Molstad) (Roy) Johnson, Bozeman. Montana.

Cremation arrangements were under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Isburg Crematory of Spearfish, South Dakota.
