Sharon Lee Ellingson, 73 of Spearfish, SD, died December 31, 2014, in Spearfish.


Sharon was born December 15, 1941, in Deadwood, SD. She was educated in Spearfish and graduated from Spearfish High School, Class of 1960. She married Jerry Ellingson September 23, 1961. A lifetime resident of Spearfish, she owned and operated "Sharon's Childrens Shop". She was active in the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors organization.


Sharon is survived by her husband, Jerry, Spearfish; daughters, Lori Tennant, San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, and Teri Ellingson, Sturgis; son, Michael (Corinna), Spearfish; sister, Patty Clarkson, Spearfish; sister-in-law, Karen Bridges, Spearfish; grandchildren, Shauna Fierro, Buford, GA, Lindsey Tennant, San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, Brent Tennant, Buford, GA, Brandon Redinger, Sturgis, Levi Redinger, Sturgis, Jesse Redinger (Shanelle), Battleground, WA, Alison Ellingson, Spearfish, Kenny Ellingson, Spearfish, 12 great grandchildren, and an untold number of friends. She took great pride in caring for her family.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Cora Mae (Henwood) Bridges, and brother, Don.


A memorial service will be held Friday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish with lunch to follow at the Snappers Club. A memorial has been established by the family for Hospice of the Northern Hills
