Obituary

Sandra Lee Williams, 70 of Spearfish, South Dakota died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her home in Spearfish.

Sandra Lee Williams was born May 13, 1945, the second of three daughters to Maurice and Byrnice (Luse) Williams in Deadwood, South Dakota. She attended school in Sundance, Wyoming and graduated with honors in 1963. She continued her schooling in Billings, Montana and Spearfish, graduating from Black Hills State Teachers College in 1967. She furthered her education and graduated with a Masters Degree from, Georgia State Teachers College in 1973. Sandra began her teaching career in Rapid City, South Dakota before moving to Michigan and several years later to Atlanta, where she retired in 1995. She taught first grade for 20 years, before going into administration and later as assistant principle at Medford Heights Elementary. Following retirement, she moved back to Spearfish to be near family on the ranch near Beulah, Wyoming, where she will be laid to rest in the family cemetery after a private family service.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Linda.
She is survived by her sister, Maggie Ayer, brother-in-law, John Ayer and their children, Cory Ayer and David Ayer and his wife Tobi and their children, Holden and Gatlan, and Linda's children, Sue Redding and Steve Keyser.

A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Northern Hills, Spearfish.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels & Crematory Service of Spearfish.
