Sandra Marie (Lakson) Sandidge, 64 of Spearfish, passed away on February 9, 2015 at the Belle Fourche Healthcare Center.
Sandra was born September 14, 1950 in Deadwood, South Dakota to Louise (Harrison) Lakson and Virgil Lakson. She graduated from Lead High School in 1968.
Sandra had a zest for life. She loved people and any kind of sport. She was an avid golfer and bowler winning many tournaments until COPD forced her to slow down. She loved rodeos, NASCAR and football games. She was a true friend to others and was always there to give you a hand up and helped wherever she could. She blessed many lives and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her sister, Charlotte (John) Lakson Dower Betts; several beloved nephews and nieces, Cherie (Brian) McGrath, Doug (Kris) Dower, Cindee (Darrell) Wisnoski and their children were her children. She is also survived by her fiancé and childhood friend, Tom Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Virgil and Louise Lakson; brother, Harry "Butch" Lakson; paternal grandparents, Matt and Mary (Johnson) Lakson; maternal grandparents, Harry and Bessie (Mumford) Harrison; and nephew, David Dower and many others.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit Hospice of the Northern Hills.
