Obituary
Sadie Irene Justice, 98, of Spearfish, SD, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Burr's Tender Care Assisted Living, Spearfish SD.
Funeral services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Spearfish with Father Tim Hoag officiating, graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, followed by lunch at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Sadie Irene Justice was born April 14, 1909, to Horace Blanchard Justice and Mable Edith (Waters) Justice in Spearfish SD. Sadie was a strong woman who clearly was ahead of her time. She was a vivacious independent woman. Strong willed but yet had a soft heart. She had such achievements as a member of Beta Sigma PHI in Los Angeles California. She worked full time until she was 70 years old assuring that she would be supported in her later years without being a burden to family or government. She loved her family, to dance, dress well and most importantly, be independent. She loved to have fun and enjoyed her friends. Although she did not marry for life, she had significant loves in her life and loved the family she was blessed with.
We the family of Sadie, would like to extend our extreme appreciation of the care and love that was extended by Aileen, Edgar Burr and their precious staff during the years that Sadie spent with them. There are no words to describe the gratitude for the endless care that was provided by everyone. The family thanks each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts.
Survivors include niece, Beverly J. Hudson and husband, Richard of Roseburg Oregon, great niece, Cheryl Vauk, husband Ed, great- great nieces, Fether Dugan and Kendra Barraza, great- great- great nephews, Connor and Riley Dugan, all of Reno Nevada, great nephew, Scott Hudson and wife Kelly, nephew, Mike Hudson wife Billie, great-great niece, Felina Dramus, husband Paul, McMinneville, Oregon and great- great niece, Chantellie Ball and husband Dave of Portland, Oregon..
