Sachiko Lerew, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend of all, 83, of Spearfish died peacefully April 16, 2018, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Fukuoka-Tagawa, Japan, to Masuo and Masae Nagahiro on March 25, 1935.
Sachiko loved spending time with her grandchildren and was well known for her beautiful flowers, garden, and manicured yard.
She is survived by her husband, Don Lerew, Spearfish; her two sons, Deon Lerew and wife Jessica, Dickinson, ND, Donovan Lerew and wife Cherise, Spearfish; three grandchildren, Daniel Lerew, Dickinson, ND, Chloe and Drayton Lerew, Spearfish; three sisters and one brother all from Japan, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 am on April 24th at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Spearfish. A private family inurnment will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sachiko's name to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Northern Hills, both in Spearfish.
