Ruth M. Williams, 91 of Spearfish and formerly of Whitewood died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Sturgis Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11:00A.M., Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 9:00A.M., until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mountain Lawn Cemetery near Lead.
A memorial has been established to benefit the Whitewood EMS and Fire Department.
Ruth was born January 28, 1920 to William and Louisa (Stroud) Baldwin in Lead. She attended school in Lead. Ruth married Burton Phipps in 1946. Burton passed away in 1965. Ruth married Hubert Williams in 1971, the couple made there home in Lead enjoying each others company. They moved to Whitewood in 1990 and later moved to Burr's Tender Care in Spearfish in 2008.
Survivors include two daughters, Deanna Cooper of Whitewood and Leora (Rick) Wildberger of Sheridan, WY, five grandchildren; Melany (Les) French of Sutherland, NE, Britt (Vicki) Strickland of Lead, Darrin (Kelly) Strickland of Twin Falls, ID, Leeyn (Sarina) Strickland of Whitewood and Tyler (Jill) Surrell of Lander, WY, three step-grandchildren; Shelly Buchholz of Mitchell, SD, Tracy Cooper of Lead and Dean Cooper of Twin Falls, ID, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, three brothers; Milton, Jess and Clarence Baldwin and three sisters, Margaret LaCroix, Thelma White and an infant sister.
