Ruben Raymond Archuletta, 93, of Edgewater, Colorado passed into the loving embrace of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 29, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Ray was born on January 2, 1931 to George and Mabel Archuletta in Trinidad, Colorado. His early years were spent on the family ranch in Model, Colorado. He was saved at an early age.

In 1949, Ray joined the US Navy where he served on the USS Mount McKinley. Later on he met the love of his life, Carmen Martinez and married her in July of 1954. They then moved to Denver and had two children, Randy and Evonne. In 1959, they moved to Edgewater in the house we would all come to love and enjoy.

Ray worked many years in Masonry. Throughout the years he worked on many well known places such as: Elitch Gardens, Sloans Lake and Denver International Airport. After retiring he continued to stay busy. He enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, hunting, camping, and family get-togethers. Ray and Carmen attended Rocky Mountain Lake Baptist Church, Beth Eden Baptist Church, South Sheridan then returned again to Beth Eden. He became a deacon at each church for many years. He was actively involved in the church's extra activities such as Awana, church camp, Edenaires and more.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mabel Archuletta, two of his sisters: LaVeta Fern and Alcarita and his son Randy.

Ray is survived by his loving wife Carmen Archuletta, siblings: Glenn Archuletta and Georgia (Brooke) Dolph, daughter: Evonne (Rick) Springer and daughter-in-law Veta (Ernest) Archuletta-Guerra, grandkids: Raymond (Amy), Jessie (Holli), Elizabeth (Dwayne), Randy (Heather), Samantha, Amber (Lucas) and Micki, and his ten great-grandkids.

He was very loved and will be greatly missed.
