Ronette JoAnn Kahler, 57, of Sundance, WY, passed away on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 at Rapid City Regional Hospital after a short but intense fight with kidney infection. Ronette was surrounded by love, but any love she received shadowed in comparison to the love she gave.

Ronette was born on December 21st, 1957. She graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1981 with a degree in Special Education and received her Master's degree in Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2009. She worked at United Cerebral Palsy in Sioux Falls, SD from 1979-1982. She married Todd Kahler on July 23rd, moved to Sundance, WY and worked for the Crook Co. School District as a Behavior Specialist until her death.

Ronette initiated many programs and services in Crook County including the alternative High School, after school study skills, the Ropes Course, the ladder system and more. She announced for the Sundance Roping Club at weekend ropings for many years. She was on the board of RENEW for several years and invested herself in doing anything she could to help those around her. Ronette has always been known as the little woman with a huge heart and that will be her legacy.

Ronette's favorite place to be was at her home in Sundance where she enjoyed decorating, planting flowers, and spending time with her animals. Ronette's faith and relationship with God was unshakeable and she is now where she has always wanted to be. The highlight of her life was her kids and her grandkids. They all had a very special relationship and her passing will leave a hole in many hearts forever.

Ronette was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ron and Joann Kenyon of Sioux Falls, SD and Sundance, WY. Survivors include her husband Todd Kahler, daughter Mati (Chad) Felderman of Doland, SD, son Nick Kahler (Tia Schultz) of Gillette, WY, grandsons Noah and Jaxson Felderman of Doland, SD, brothers Dan (Nancy) Kenyon of Sioux Falls, SD and Tim (Mary) Kenyon of Madison, SD.

Memorial visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel, Sundance, WY. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Old High School Gymnasium, Sundance, WY.
