Ronald Mitchell, 89 of Spearfish, passed away on October 10, 2017.
Ronald was born on August 3, 1928 in Mitchell, SD to Leslie and Dessie (Olson) Mitchell. He graduated from Artesian High School in 1946, and served in the United States Army from 1947-48. He married Lillian Deckert on May 11, 1952 and to this union two sons were born, Kent Ronald and Steven Leslie Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lillian; sons, Kent (Roberta) Mitchell of Frisco, TX and Steven (Kathy) Mitchell of Fargo, ND; two grandchildren, Alex and Caitlin Mitchell of Fargo, ND, niece, Joann Metz and nephew, Frank Fiala.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosalyn and nieces, Sharon Tidd and Judy Malnick.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in Spearfish. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to benefit the Spearfish United Methodist Church and the Spearfish Food Pantry.
