A much loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Roland (Ozzie) Klumb, 86, of Spearfish, South Dakota passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013.
He was born August 25, 1927 in Ethan, South Dakota to Molly (Rheingans) and Henry Klumb. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947. On June 4, 1950, Roland married Beverly Cornell in Spearfish, South Dakota. He was employed throughout the years by Junek's, Miller and Sons Sawmill, Homestake Sawmill and retired from Pope and Talbot Sawmill. He enjoyed woodworking, auto mechanics and time spent with his family and friends. Roland's sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Roland is survived by his loving wife, Beverly of 63 years, children Linda (Jim) Carpenter, Kathy Klumb, Roger Klumb, Laura (Bob) Olson and Wanda (Bill) Houser, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Roland was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, LeRoy and Marvin.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, November 10 at Fidler- Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 11 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Spearfish with Reverend Gene Bauman officiating. A memorial has been established to benefit St. Paul Lutheran Church.
