Roger Zweifel, 87, passed away on Sunday, October 18, after a brief battle with cancer at Monument Health Hospice House.

Roger was born on August 27, 1939, to Clarence and Virginia Zweifel. He was raised in Scotland, South Dakota, where he graduated from Scotland High School before briefly attending the University of South Dakota.

In 1961, Roger married Arthea Edelman. Together they made their home in Scotland, where Roger built a successful career as the owner of Zweifel Insurance Agency and later Zweifel Motors. In 2000, he married Delores Schaeffer, and the couple made their home in Piedmont, South Dakota.

Roger spent a lifetime buying, selling, restoring, and collecting classic automobiles. His passion for cars was matched only by his willingness to share his knowledge, experience, and countless stories with fellow enthusiasts. Through the many friendships and relationships he cultivated over the years, his legacy will continue for generations to come.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Delores; his son, Todd (Karla) Zweifel, and grandsons Collin (Teagan), Logan, and Mason; his daughter, Wendy (Mike) Mateer, and grandsons Holden and Brecken; as well as Delores's children, Allen Dybdahl, Penny Thorpe, Diana Blair, Joe Jones, and Sharon Law.

He will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, his lifelong love of classic cars, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. Roger's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Spearfish, 290 Hwy 14, On Sunday November 1. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, with a service at 12:00 pm.
