Roger S. Johnson, of Upton, WY, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the age of 76.

He was born on January 26, 1939 in Forest City, IA to Clarence V. Johnson and Luella M. (Book) Johnson. He attended schools in Miller and Forest City, IA. He married Sharon Kay Simons on June 29, 1957 and they spent 58 happily married years together. Roger worked as a certified mechanic, oil field hand, ranch hand and spent many years in road and rail construction. He was a loving person to his family and friends and was known for his sarcastic sense of humor. He also enjoyed giving children quarters to buy gumballs at the local restaurant, Remy's and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Upton, WY and their three children: Sherri (Rodney) Randall of Upton, WY, Rodney S. Johnson of Fertile, IA and Russell S. Johnson Sharon Kvammen) of Fertile, IA. He is also survived by his brother Lyle Johnson and his family of Garner, IA and many friends and relatives in Iowa and Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Nancy.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on September 5, 2015 at Greenwood Cemtry in Upton.
