Obituary

Roberta Allegra (Hook) Queen, 66, of Spearfish, SD, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007 at Rapid City Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be at 10:00AM on Monday, May 7, 2007 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, SD.

A memorial will be established to benefit the American Heart Association.

Roberta was born in Sundance, WY, on June 3, 1940 to Samuel Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Roberts) Hook of Buckhorn, WY. She grew up and attended grade school in Wyoming. In 1952 she moved with her parents to Nisland, SD, where she completed her high school education. After high school she attended Black Hills Teachers College for one year. She then worked as a secretary in Belle Fourche, SD, and Sundance for various companies. In 1980 she moved to Spearfish with her son and began working as a domestic engineer. While in Spearfish she became very involved with the Christian Women's Club where she used her creative mind in all aspects for the club. For the last several years she managed Iron Creek Plaza Apartments in Spearfish. Everyone that had the honor of knowing her will sorely miss her kind, creative, dedicated and hardworking spirit.

Roberta is survived by her son Kevin R. Queen of Rapid City, SD, two sisters, Rita Hook of Rapid City, and Alberta Krush of Belle Fourche, SD, and her mother Mary E. Hook of Rapid City. She was preceded in death by her father Samuel A. Hook.
