Roberta Colhoff 74, of Spearfish, died on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Spearfish Regional Hospital with her children by her side.

Roberta was born in Lane Deer MT and grew up in Sheridan, WY where she attended school before transferring to St. Labre Indian Catholic School in Ashland MT. After graduation she traveled as a young woman and ended up in Denver where she worked as a lab tech and meet her husband, a sailor, John Colhoff. They were married in 1964 and became a military wife raising their four children, Eric, John, Jr. Angelique and Brett. One John retired they settled in Sturgis and was very active in the community. She was in Cub Scouts and was the first female President of Little League. She developed many friendships with children we encountered in both organizations. She enjoyed writing poetry, playing video games, crafts, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. After the loss of her husband, John, she moved to Spearfish where she resided until her passing.

She is survived by her children, Eric Colhoff, John (Andrea) Colhoff, Jr., Angelique Colhoff and Brett Colhoff; grandchildren, Kahly (Chad ) Rundell, Brittany Pierce, Aidan Colhoff, Emme Colhoff, Corey Colhoff, Mason Colhoff, Charlie Colhoff, Gabriel Colhoff, Xander Colhoff, Ethan Colhoff, Elizabeth Carda and Layne Colhoff; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrna (Orville) Paukei, Georgette Bendo; and brother, Darrel (Georgina ) Eastman. She was preceded in death by her husband, John of 25 years; brother, Edward Eastman and sister, Althea Jennings.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
