Robert G. Stumpf, 84 of Belle Fourche, SD passed away Friday, November 06, 2009 at Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care.

Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M., Monday, November 9, 2009 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Christian Life Center in Belle Fourche.

Burial with full military honors will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to benefit Hospice of the Northern Hills.

Robert Gene Stumpf was born in Proctor, Colorado on September 12, 1925, the son of John Phillip and Christina (Kancel) Stumpf. He attended rural schools in Spearfish, SD. On March 18, 1951 he married Helen Elizabeth Kindsfater. After serving in the Korean Conflict, Robert and Helen made their home on their farm east of Belle Fourche. For 56 years Robert worked on his farm and even when he leased it out he was still working. He was well known for the sweet corn his farm produced, which he sold to many people throughout the years. In 2008 Robert sold the farm and moved to Beulah, WY, where he lived until October 23rd of this year, at that time he became a resident of Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, brothers, Edward and Victor and sister, Ruby Dodds.

Survivors include daughter, Linda (Steve) Harlan, Beulah, WY, son, Robert (Linda) Stumpf, Belle Fourche, two brothers, Walter (Louise) Stumpf, Nisland, SD and Murphy (Carol) Stumpf, Chula Vista, CA, three grandchildren; Lacey (Tell) Cook, Pine Haven, WY, Cody Stumpf, Belle Fourche and John (Shannon) Redding, Queen Creek, AZ and three great-grandchildren.
