James Robert "Bobby" Wolf was born on November 15, 1942 in Spearfish to Robert and Creta (Moller) Wolf.
God was in need of another angel on Monday. November 23, 2009.
Bobby was a dear son, brother, uncle and friend to many in the Spearfish community. He was known as "the little guy" dressed in blaze orange, on a mission to collect aluminum cans. This mission earned him a very special award presented by the City of Spearfish mayor, Jerry Krambeck. He was always quick to lend a helping hand and even sometimes would stop traffic to help pedestrians cross the road safely to the other side.
Bobby's health started to fade and his family moved him to Pierre, SD where he could be cared for at the "Mary House". Not long after moving to Pierre his helpfulness and spunk gathered many more friends and special relationships with the employees at the Mary House. When friends and family went to visit his face would light up. It was with great pride for him to give the "grand tour" at the nursing home. Dressed in his bibbed overalls, with one of the 25 pairs of boots he owned, he zipped through the halls with his walker (and two green tennis balls on the front for easy mobility) recklessly and always in a hurry!
Grateful for sharing his life are five brothers; Ed Wolf, Belle Fourche, SD; Frank (Mary Jo) Wolf, Nebraska; David Wolf, Washington; Bill (Becky) Wolf, Pierre; Marvin (Angel) Wolf, New Mexico; six sisters; Pearl Wolf, Oregon; Betty (Charlie) Firnekas, Wyoming; Carol (Bob) Koan, Spearfish; Bonnie (John) Easton, Oregon; Mary (Darrell) Harkin, Hermosa, SD; and Barb (Dan) Haggberg, Spearfish, SD; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, 1 infant brother and sister Linda Wolf of Spearfish.
He will be missed and thought of everyday-especially by Bill, Becky and Tyler Wolf of Pierre. There will be another bright, shinning star in the sky tonight.
A Memorial has been established to benefit the Mary House of Pierre.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 27, 2009 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday.
