Obituary

Robert John Gray, age 63, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011, in Hulett, Wyoming.

Bobby was born on August 3, 1947 in Sundance, Wyoming to the late Lena and James "Lyle" Gray. He graduated from Hulett High School and went on to serve in the United States Army where he completed a tour in Vietnam.

After his honorable discharge from the Army, Dad worked with his brother Russell building a foot bridge at Old Faithful. He spent years as a welder working road construction throughout Wyoming and later returned to the Black Hills to work in the lumber industry logging, welding and operating heavy equipment. The last few years of his life were spent on road construction.

Of the many activities our father enjoyed, hunting was his favorite. Fishing, guns, the mountains and tormenting the pets were a close second. However, he will be most remembered for his joke telling.

Bob is survived by his four children: Gina Gray, Christopher "Joe" Gray, Brian Gray and Alicia Gray; his two grandchildren: Elle Gray and Cameron Mccrimmon; and his siblings; Marjorie Ousnamer and Ancil Gray. He is further survived by his beloved nieces and nephews and many friends. Bob was the youngest in his family and was preceded in death by his older brother, Russell Gray.

A burial service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the New Haven Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at the Hulett Civic Center at 2:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the Hulett community and the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel for their love and support.
