Robert "Bob" N. Fisher, 81 of Spearfish, SD
Bob passed away Saturday night August 3, 2013 at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center in Spearfish SD. Following his wishes, cremation took place and internment was at the Black Hills National Cemetery.
Bob was born October 7, 1931 in Bowman ND. Bob grew up working in his Dad's creamery and produce business on Main Street. After high school graduation he served in the Army.
Later he attended North Dakota State University and graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Bob started his engineering career with Boeing; which took him to various locations around the country, including a stint with the NASA aerospace team at the Houston Space Center--that engineered the first manned-landing on the moon in 1969. Bob took a break from engineering and taught math/science in Watford City ND for 8 years and then returned to Boeing until his retirement. Bob recently moved to Spearfish from Dickinson ND.
Bob was a well-read history buff who enjoyed puzzles, cards and a good political debate.
Bob is survived by his sister, Ruth (& Rod) Stearns and also his nephews Dave and Todd Stearns. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Betty Fisher, his brother Eugene (Joe) and nephew Bill Stearns.
