Robert John Earwood, 66 of Spearfish, SD passed away on July 11, 2023 at his home from a heart attack following a brief illness.

Bob was born on November 6, 1956 to Wilbur and Alice (John) Earwood in Council Bluffs, IA.  He graduated from Spearfish High School in 1974 and lived and worked in the Spearfish area most of his life.  In recent years he had been working at hotels and casinos in Deadwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Alice Earwood, of Modale, Iowa and Spearfish.  He is survived by his sisters, LuAnne Earwood and her son, Austin of Fort Collins, CO and Roxanne Earwood and her son Caleb and great-niece, Ryann of Kailua, HI.

Bob loved animals, especially dogs, and missed his old dog, Lucas.  He enjoyed golfing, riding his bicycle and spending time with friends.  Having played a lot of baseball in his early years, he continued to like sports and followed football, baseball and golf on television.  He was a Denver Broncos and Rockies fan along with a few other teams.

He was a peaceful, quiet soul and will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
