Bob was born February 12, 1936 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Dewey Glenis and Helen Fergus (Hamilton) Baxter. He grew up loving the mountains, lakes and streams. He spent his free time fishing, hunting, and hiking in the beautiful Big Horn Mountains and boating and water skiing at Lake DeSmet. He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1954. He continued his education at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT where he met and married his wife, Twyla Jean Ross. A job opportunity led the family to Sundance, Wyoming in 1969. Bob embraced his new community and was active in Ducks Unlimited, Rod and Gun Club and was a member of the Sundance City Council. After 35 years of hard work and dedication Bob retired in 1995 and began a new hobby, woodworking, crafting various items. Since retirement Bob and Twyla have lived in Yuma, Arizona, Billings, Montana and Spearfish, South Dakota. Bob enjoyed model trains, would never miss a NASCAR race, watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow, have fun and just be kids.
