Richard Eugene "Dick" Stordahl, 95 of Upton, WY and formerly of Bowman, ND passed away December 16, 2010 in Newcastle, WY.

Burial will take place in Bowman, ND and memorial services will be held in the spring of 2011.

Dick was born on July 20, 1915 at the family home south of Bowman, ND to John and Ella Stordahl. Dick was raised on the family farm, attended Lone Tree rural school and graduated from Bowman High School. In his younger days he played minor league baseball. He also worked in the ship yards doing metal work after the war. He enjoyed farming on the family farm where he was born and also raising sheep and cattle. Dick was also a horseshoe champion in the Senior Olympics.

Dick married Florence Beyer in 1941, she passed away in 1981. In 1983 he married Patricia Van Offeren.

Dick is survived by his wife Pat Stordahl; daughter Marlys Lien; sister Florence Bettger; step-son Darwin Van Offeren, step-daughters Vicky Boyles, Janis Engle, Patti Kelly; grandson, Dirk Lien; granddaughter, Darnel Cassidy, great-granddaughters, Carson Lien and Caitlin Lien; great-grandson Kale Cassidy and many step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two infant children; siblings Loy Stordahl, Johnnie Stordahl, Raymond Stordahl, Inez Huston, Dorothy Kennedy, Gladys Saffel and Alma Werre.
