Reva LaRae Sexton, 73, of Lead SD, passed away in her home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Her loving husband Jon was by her side through all her battles with cancer and when she took her last breath.

Reva was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Spearfish with her brother Gene; her parents, Kenneth & Margaret Edwards.

Reva worked for the US Postal Service starting as a letter carrier in Deadwood, then transferred to Phoenix, AZ, retiring as a Level 16 supervisor. She moved back to Lead and worked an additional 16 years as a cashier at the No. 10 Saloon in Deadwood. When her illness became too much for her to continue being a reliable trustworthy employee, she retired from there as well.

Reva loved the people she worked for and had many friends. She also continued her friendship with people she met and liked in Arizona. She was my best friend, my sister and we miss her terribly.

Reva had a great passion for Airdales and many of her boys will be scattered along with herself, somewhere in the gorgeous Black Hills she called home. She also loved to gamble….. and win!!!!!!

Reva was preceded in death by her dearly loved son, Cory Ruiz; her brother, Gene Edwards and good friend Mark Anderson. She leaves behind 2 grandsons, Alex and Sammy in Texas as well as many friends, but especially her devoted husband, Jon; her caring reliable friend, Cactus Bob and her sister, Dawn.
