Renee Hanson, 68 of Spearfish went to walk with our Lord on May 18, 2018 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.

Renee was born on November 15, 1949 in Redfield, SD to Wayne and Phyllis (Stewart) Moser. Her family moved various times in her youth and she attended grade schools in Clark, Doland, Redfield and Spearfish. She graduated from Clark High School in 1968. Following graduation, she attended Watertown Business school for one year. May 24, 1969, Renee was united in marriage to Loren Hanson, to this union three children were born; Jason, Jennifer and Amber. Renee and Loren instilled in their children that family is first and to have a strong work ethic. Renee worked for three different doctors as a receptionist and ran a home daycare for several years. She was a kind and generous person. Her life revolved around her family. She enjoyed attending all sporting events with them and the holidays. She will be missed by her family immensely. Renee was loved by many friends. Her smile, kind heart and infectious spirit will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her father, brother and grandparents.

Renee is survived by her husband, Loren Hanson, son, Jason (Annie) Hanson and their children; Jordan and Taylor, daughter, Jennifer (Darin) Haivala and their children; Lauren, Morgan and Lucas, daughter, Amber (Trevor) Wiebe and their children; Austyn and Jayden. Renee is also survived by her mother, Phyllis (Kenny)Higashi, two sisters, Nancy Moser and Heather Tripp, two brothers, Leigh Moser and Pat Moser and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

A celebration of Renee's life will be held this summer.

A memorial has been established to benefit the L.L.S. Foundation.
