Randi Brosnahan, 89, of Spearfish died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at David M. Dorsett Health Care in Spearfish.
Randi was born on February 5, 1922 to Mons and Olga (Knudson) Bjorge in Bergen, Norway and came to the United States at the age of 6. She attended and graduated from Lead Public Schools. After graduation from high school she worked in retail sales until she married Fredrick Martin Brosnahan. After Frederick's death from a war injury, she married William Robert Brosnahan. She spent her life caring for her family and friends. Her generous, loving nature was a comfort to the many people who knew her.
Survivors include her son, Fred (Marilyn) Brosnahan of Spearfish and daughter, Diane (Michael) Klatt of Anchorage, AK; grandson, Ryan Klatt and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Fredrick and William, son Roger, sister, Marcella Gammon and brother, John Bjorge.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center, Hospice of the Northern Hills and Evelyn Couch for their support and care of Randi.
A private family graveside service will be held at Mountain Lawn Cemetery in Lead. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in September. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit the Hospice of the Northern Hills or to a charity of your choice
