Phyllis L. Sigdestad, 86 of Spearfish passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Phyllis was born on December 19, 1923 in Wessington Springs, SD to John Wesley and Inez "Tenie" (Coltharp) Charles. She moved to Lead as a young girl where she graduated from Lead High School in 1942. She married Duane Anderson and they had two sons. Phyllis worked many years for Thorpe Jewelry in Deadwood.

On June 20, 1970 she met and married Clifford Sigdestad, the love of her life. Phyllis and Cliff enjoyed doing many thing together including traveling in their camper, gardening and fishing. They spent many summers in their home in Galena.

Phyllis will be greatly missed by her many family members and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford Sigdestad of Spearfish, two sons; Robert (Linda) Anderson, of Spearfish and Duane (Julie) Anderson, of Waconia, MN two brothers; Donavan Charles, of Yuba City, CA and Mylan (Cherry) Charles, of Belle Fourche, SD; 9 grandchildren; Holly Corbett, Tammy Anderson, Conrad Anderson, Katie Peterson, Wes Anderson, Michael Anderson, Kevin Vargus, Dewayne Vargus and Chrystal Vargus and 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; two sisters; and a granddaughter, Bobbi Anderson.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on August 26, 2010 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 27, 2010 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Spearfish. Burial will follow at Mt. Lawn Cemetery in Lead.
