Phyllis Renee (Moser) Higashi, 91 of Spearfish passed away on November 5, 2023, at Edgewood Vista in Spearfish.

Phyllis was born in Clark, SD on August 17, 1932. In 1961, she moved to Spearfish, SD with her kids.

Phyllis was known for her culinary skills throughout Spearfish, having worked at Margie's Dinner Club, Bells Steakhouse, Grandmother's House, The Sluice, & the Belle Fourche Country Club with her son, Leigh.

She is survived by her children Nancy Moser; Leigh Moser (Merida);  Heather (Mike) Tripp all of Spearfish, Patrick Moser (Holly) of Piedmont; son-in-law Loren Hanson of Spearfish; 12 grandchildren & numerous great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth Higashi; an infant son William and her oldest daughter Renee Hanson.

As she would say "You just can't beat a good hamburger" - enjoy Phyllis, enjoy!

There will be private family services held at a later date.
