Phyllis L. Andersen, 94 of Spearfish passed away April 12, 2023 at Legacy in Gillette, WY.

Phyllis was born October 12, 1928 in Rockwell, Iowa, she moved to the Vale, South Dakota area in her teenage years. She married the love of her life Tommy M. Andersen on September 13, 1947 and three children were born to this union, Michael, Tommy and Jacqueline. The couple lived in Deadwood, where Phyllis worked at the Sears store. The couple later moved to Rapid City. Upon retirement they enjoyed traveling the United States and Canada and enjoyed camping, fishing and making jewelry.

She is survived by granddaughter, Shannon (Danny) Atwood, great-grandchildren; Matt, Traiten (Nicole) and Tarena DeMinck and Melanie Atwood and special friends Mitch and Dixie Skogen.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, her children, Michael, Tommy and Jacqueline, three brothers; Duane, Robert and Ross Michaels and granddaughter, Kara Riddle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
