Pauline Richards, 87 of Spearfish, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Fountain Springs Health Care in Rapid City.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 5-7 P.M. at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the chapel. Burial will follow at Mountain Lawn Cemetery in Lead. A memorial has been established in Pauline's name.

Pauline was born on May 28, 1923 to William and Nellie (Warthen) Carson in O'Niel, NE. She married Elmer Richards on May 28, 1938 in Rapid City. Pauline loved her family and extended family. She enjoyed having everyone over for Easter egg hunts and sleigh riding parties. She also enjoyed collecting pine cones with family and friends for the Forest Service, which were used for planting new trees. She bowled for many years, she also belonged to many different organizations but one of her favorite things to do was going to Krafty Kin Klub and doing crafts with the family members.
Survivors include her sons: Leslie (Karen) Richards of Hadlock, WA; Ernest (Sandra) Richards of Lead; Thomas (Brenda) Richards of Glendora, CA; Charles (Eileen) Richards of Lead; Jerome (Shirley) Richards of Aurora, MO; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, 2 grandsons, a granddaughter, a sister and 7 brothers.
